Trip Log: 2/23 - 2/24/2002, Rock Spring Run. Apopka, Florida - Canoe/kayak camping, UCF Outlanders Trip

I apologize for the poor image quality for the most of these photos, it was very difficult to keep the camera lens dry while paddling in the rain. The blurry gray spots you see in these photos are water droplets.

King's Landing

Getting ready to launch

Coming out from King's Landing into Rock Spring Run

Bill and TJ in the first canoe

That's Jeremy and Lorraina in the second canoe

Aaron, Barabra, and Mike in a canoe.
Shortly after this shot Aaron decided to turn around and paddle facing Mike, it was very interesting to watch.

Rock Spring Run in the rain

Some snowy egrets (I think) on the River

Myself on my kayak

The sun peeked out from the clouds for about 5 seconds, that was all the sunshine we saw that day

Rock Spring Run is one of the prettiest canoe trail in Central Florida

Robert and Barabra trying to start a fire in the rain. This is Camp Cozy, which I mistook for Camp Big Buck, the actual campsite we were supposed to stay at.

The next day. From left to right are Robert, Joseph, Aaron, Vanja (right behind Aaron), Barabra, and Mike.

Sunday is a much nicer day than Saturday
